For FW22, the design duo drew inspiration from the colors and textures one may find when transported to a stylish housewarming party in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Loafers and ballerinas aside, lest you forget about other flat styles like the timeless oxford and derby, Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell brought these back into play. The co-founders of the genderless label Tanner Fletcher tapped into a ‘60s and ‘70s fashion aesthetic for their debut Fall/Winter 2022 collection at New York Fashion Week.

Tanner Fletcher is pleased to introduce the latest collection for Fall/Winter 2022, titled “Housewarming Party,” which was unveiled at the brand’s first official in-person presentation at New York Fashion Week on February 15th at Georgia Room inside Gramercy’s Freehand Hotel.

Imagination becomes reality for many designers during New York Fashion Week and their collections are always shown in breathtaking backdrops.

Justice Jamal Jones describes themselves as an alchemist, combining their skills in acting, filmmaking and writing into imaginative and passionate storytelling.

Tanner Fletcher: FW22

When it comes to decorating one’s home, whether for a party or for personal enjoyment, one’s taste is not generic, but agender, to convey and converge one’s feeling, so the designers, who are known for bridging the gap between modern and vintage in fashion and interior design, offered a wide range of ready-to-wear that celebrates the collision of worlds in various forms, stating my house (brand) is your house (brand).

The party was held at the newly reopened Temple Bar on Lafayette Street in New York.

Another example of a brand that seems to understand this is Tanner Fletcher, an emerging genderless fashion label that recently showcased its Fall 2022 collection at NYFW. “We don’t think non-binary folks are looking for this crazy new type of non-binary fashion,” designers Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell, told Refinery29. “We think non-binary folks just want the freedom to see something they like regardless of how they identify, grab it off the rack, and be authentically themselves without unnecessary labels and the judgment that comes with them.”

Tanner Fletcher takes a new approach to genderless fashion centered around home décor. We talked to the co-founder and creative director Fletcher Kasell about their idea of clothing, nostalgia, and the interconnectedness of home and wardrobe.

Tanner Fletcher, the emerging genderless brand specializing in responsibly designed ready to wear that push the boundaries between masculinity and femininity, caught our attention with their first collection SS22 presented at New York Fashion Week. Since then, we wanted to meet the duo bringing a modern lens to past eras of interior design and fashion to form a type of style that is more suited for the twenty-first century. We caught up with them during Paris Fashion Week and got to see their FW22 collection up close. Just as they prescribed, it was an ongoing evolution of individuals’ style.

Tanner Fletcher has, without a doubt, become one of my new favorite brands after the launch of their New York Fashion Week collection. The Brooklyn-based, genderless brand seeks to “push the boundaries between masculinity and femininity,” and their Fashion Week collection is absolutely stunning.

Tanner Fletcher took New York Fashion Week to the dance with their latest collection, “Spring Fling.” Models were seen getting ready and playfully gossiping on the phone before dancing the night away in a series of retro-inspired vignettes designed by the Brooklyn-based duo Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell. It’s a spring fling that seeks to overturn the gender, age, sexuality and race biases that have traditionally dictated the experience of attending a school dance at a U.S high school.

Shamelessly, 70% of my phone’s photos are of my Saint Germaine. This being has warmed my heart and given me a new perspective on life; one with more compassion, patience, and unconditional love.

Wearing identical ivory-colored suits, Tanner Fletcher’s Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kassel fit that bill. Surprised to hear about the fashion industry’s financial might from the mayor, Kassel said the chance to be in the same room as Gordon, Wintour and Santo Domingo was “extremely beneficial” from a business perspective. Richie noted what an integral part of the city the garment district is with more brands relying on it especially during the pandemic, when overseas production was no longer an option for many.

Thanks to the star-studded seating charts and seemingly endless flowing champagne towers, it may seem like fashion week is one big party (and you’re not completely wrong). However, amidst the buzz of it all, it can be easy to forget the very reason these weeks exist: The collections, of course.
