Good design deserves to be displayed, and this mochaware lid has certainly earned its place on the wall. With its rich earth tones, swirling decoration, and striking bands of blue, it feels as much like a painting as it does a piece of pottery. We love unexpected objects that become art simply by changing how they're displayed, and this one is a perfect conversation starter. Sometimes the lid is the best part of the story. Circa 1800's.
