A beautifully hand-carved wooden bird with a simple clothespin attached to its beak to hold notes and messages. The design comes from a time before texting, when reminders were left where everyone could see them. The carving is careful and expressive, while the clothespin feels almost underwhelming by comparison. That contrast is exactly what makes it special. Folk art was often made to be useful, and somehow the practicality is what makes it beautiful.
